Name: Leo (11 months)
Location: Haarlem, Netherlands
I actually got most of my inspiration from Apartment Therapy. I just wanted to show the result of that and give back. I love natural materials like cotton and wood. The space just evolved, picking up things here and there. Since my son's name is Leo, I started out with a lion theme but there are too many cool things out there to stick to a theme.
I saw the changing table here but it was above budget. Gramps is a carpenter and made it for us! It's my favorite piece of furniture in the house.
I made the origami crane mobile myself. Folded dozens of cranes towards the end of my pregnancy when I was too tired to do anything else. I got the idea from a wedding site where they made a huge crane chandelier.
I tried to design the play area from my son's perspective. At first I had all these toys in a giant toy chest. It was such a mess and even dangerous. I wanted the area to be easy to organize and clean up and also wanted him to be able to easily see and access everything.
Lovely - thanks Liz!

Leo has a fantastic window view. And not to mention, his crib and mobile are awesome!
This looks like a really, really fun child's room. So many nurseries now look like they were designed for adults and the baby is just another accessory. Leo will have a lot of good times in here I'm sure!
Where is the crib from? I love it.
Hi, sorry just saw the last comment now. A bit late but I got it second-hand. She bought it from a big baby store here so I don't think it's a from a special designer/company.
