Last week we posted about using yellow construction sawhorse legs for table legs. Let's just say that you readers didn't seem to like them as much as we did. Ahh - the delight of serving our tastes to the highly discerning AT crowd. But we march on, undeterred, thinking of you during a recent jaunt to Ikea where we saw these bright red trestle table legs...
We find these Lerberg trestle legs ($20/pair) to be delicious and wanted to find a way to incorporate them into our space. But we just don't need them. Yet.
For those of you who found the yellow sawhorse legs ugly and unrefined, how do you feel about these legs?

That'll show 'em! I think it all depends on the rest of your decor and what you like. This isn't for me, but I can see it working in certain situations.
i like these legs a lot, saw them in person a few weeks ago. Since i am working on the exact same table top right now.... i would prefer these legs, we have the chrome angular ones and they're just a little boring.
i love these - and also would like to get them into my apartment! i'm wondering - would they be easy to paint? the ikea site says : Base material: Steel, Pigmented epoxy/polyester powder coating
any advice?
love the industrial look right now and while i like the bold yellow and heft of the sawhorses, there's a nicer detail and delicacy to these ones. i was tempted to pick them up from ikea after i saw them in the new catalogue.. but alas i really have no need for them.
I guess, it will depends on how well or study they are, since they are not welded. I also read that these legs can't take a heavy load. Overall, I like the look.
I'm a big fan of red, so I'd love to find a way to use these, especially since they are so cheap!
As with the others, I'd like them better in black...for a desk. Still not a fan of trestles for dining tables, as I don't enjoy banging my legs against them.
just bought and assembled these legs for my desk. love them.
