When our son was a baby he was an extremely light sleeper and we were cautious not to create any loud noise (say, a sneeze) that might disturb him. Unfortunately many naps were brought (literally) to a screeching halt by the innocent ringing of our doorbell by the UPS man, mail carrier or Con Ed rep.

We fantasized about leaving a sign by our buzzer, but, after all, we still needed our packages, the mail and the gas meter read. So we were intrigued to see the sign above on the blog of our Brooklyn neighbor Katia who spotted it hanging on a local family's door. Genius? Overkill? Do you have a sign like this or have you spotted one in your neighborhood?
