They say, "Ask, and you shall receive," and that's exactly what happened to one lucky little girl who asked her parents for a Mario Bros. bedroom. After 60 hours of work and a $700 investment, Reddit user Carpenter75 unveiled this gem for his daughter.
Carpenter75 didn't leave anything out of this room, either. While King Koopa and Mario are vinyl decals, the rest of the room is hand painted. There's a canvas "start" screen on the wall, and the high score is actually his daughter's birthday. A vintage NES system allows everyone to play the old Mario Bros. game, and Carpenter75 has included sound effects in the design, using programmable circuit boards purchased on eBay to play sounds from the original game.
Lots of love and care went into this room... and plenty of gold coins and power ups.
