Your kids might be writing letters to Santa- but how about sending them a letter back- complete with a real postmark from the North Pole...
Some great tips from DIY Life on crafting this special letter:
Make sure you listen to the details your child tells Santa at the mall or in their own letter so you can respond accurately. You can either use a postmark available here or send it to the North Pole Station in Alaska. It will be postmarked there and sent back to the children. But you have to get it in before December 15th so do it today! Even you won't know the day to expect the letter so you'll all be surprised together. Here are the details.

Hate to burst your bubble but those North Pole postmarks are actually done in Anchorage! They are collected and sorted at the North Pole Post Office and then sent separately to Anchorage for the official postmark.
Still cool though.
You can also have the Santa Claus house in North Pole, Alaska send you a letter. Although they have a certain form letter that they send, there is an area where you can add some personalization (256 characters). My kids look forward to it every year.
If you want to get a letter back from Santa, Canada Post retirees help out every year to make sure each letter is answered by Santa. (Canada's postal [zip] code system is letter number letter number letter number, which works out well). Send a letter to:
Santa Claus
North Pole, Canada

I remember my letters from Santa through the Canada post. It was definitely one of the best parts of Christmas.
