- What I Love About My Small Home:
- We love that our small home does not feel small because of the light and high ceilings. We have six huge windows and a small terrace that prevent us from feeling boxed in our apartment.
- Biggest Challenge of Living in a Small Space
- Aside from storage, which is always an issue to all small homes, our biggest challenge is to create a play space for our 1 year old daughter while maintaining separate adult areas. We created a corner for her where she can play and be creative. Our home used to be mostly black and white. Now, it is quite colorful. Children do bring happiness and color to one's life!

Love it all, the "kid's corner" is so fun! But not cheesy.
I love that your computer wallpaper is the same as your actual wallpaper!
:O My jaw dropped... i love the baby corner, the fur on the bed and the lamp on your dining table. I just didnt like that black and white pattern and its also on the computer but the rest of your home is chic, stylish, fun and colorful.
Oh my goodness...your place is so nice!
I'm really confused by the floorplan. Where is the nook with the wallpaper and desk? Where is the bedroom door? I am looking to move into some spaces of about this square footage and would love to have the room for a dining table, living area, desk, and more, but I'm so confused about how they made this work in this space.
thanks for everyone's comments! :)
@cara moe: we had the doors to the closet near the entry way removed and that nook served as our office where the desk and wallpaper is. also ,the door on the bedroom is incorrect on the floorplan. it was moved closer to the bathroom door.
Love it-where is that dining room table from?
LOVE. Nice to see another entry that has not just more than one person but a child or children. THAT is impressive. I can see how one or maybe two people can live in a small footprint but a family is an entirely different thing. Great job. Love the play space. We try to also incorporate toys into our living area in low key ways so it doesn't overwhelm or look like a daycare. I assume the baby sleeps in the bedroom as well then?
Beautiful home! (Is that a Juan Genoves?)
I love it here!!!!
Wow, your place looks lovely. Where is that clear chair in your dining room section from? It is so cool!
Beautiful! I love your lucite coffee table and night tables as well as your wallpapered nook. This home looks chic and well edited while still showing some personality.
Where does your daughter sleep?
And kudos to you for having toys in your living room without making the whole place look like a daycare center. Drives me nuts when I see houses like that (Not that those kinds of houses would ever be on AT).
I love the computer nook, what a great idea.
@ALLTHINGSNYC I love the armchair at the dining table and the couch in the living room! Who are the designers for those pieces/where did you get them?!
Thanks! Great space!
@Mallory Kaufman - the dining room table is the Hicks glass-top table from West Elm. it is from years ago not sure they are still selling these.
@D Hershkowitz - the arm chair is the Pasha chair by Pedrali.
@HHRI - our daughter sleeps in a foldable crib in our bedroom. she takes her naps in the daybed in the baby corner.
Adorable! I'm wondering what that cow thing in the last picture is though.
We've been to their apartment and yep it is awesome! The space planning and design are that of Lynn and Lex..no professional designer it's just their own sense of style, chic and classy taste!!!
Beautiful home, and the baby corner is brilliant!
Beautiful home!! May I ask where you found your sofa?
Love those dining room chairs! Why isn't anyone in the last few posts showing the kitchen space?
@KacieFrazier - Sofa is the Diplomat sleeper from Blu Dot
Where is the pillow on the sofa from? Love what you've done with the place!
@LadyLara19 - it's the Maharam DWR Pillow in Agency
brilliant use of space. I too am in awe and admiration at seeing how you both have accommodated your entire family, while keeping it stylish. very well done!
Pretty. Very cute baby corner.
well done. i love it!
Nice floors, good choice of fabrics and furniture. Not a fan of all lucite chairs though. Dig the animal skins which balances the contemporary furniture. Where can i find the sleek desk lamp? Is it bright enough?
love the apartment so much! hope to see more pictures. you should join the house tour!
WOW! A-ma-zing! I was just looking for some inspiration, because I rented a small apartement recently. I couldn't resist to leave a comment here... What a great job! Could you tell me where you got the cool wallpaper? I'm thinking of doing one wall like that. Thanx!
I L♥VE your apartment! You convinced us that Big living in a smaller space is better - it's fun, colorful, and elegant. My fave is the computer corner with the Contemporary Black White Damask Wallpaper, the dining room set, the contemporary living room set with animal print. It was a pleasure that I've been there :-)
Brilliant!
Kudos to an amazing use of space-LOVE the nook with the damask wallpaper- very fresh.
Love the chandelier. Was it DIY?
Fabulous! So chic and yet so functional and clever.
Are the floors real wood? What kind of finish? Beautiful!
Love how the Matisse works in the kid corner. Cheerful and sophisticated apt.
You had me at Fornasetti pillow ;) and plate ....
This is my bro's
exquisitely chic apartment in NYC - been there without little Lucy yet ….
And their spruce-up nook for her is amazingly phenomenal – not intrusive to the whole look!!!! Love it!!!!
beautiful apartment! love it absolutely. i wonder how the kitchen looks like...
I like the zebra print rug and the plexiglas table. I've seen these items before, but never tire of them!
Love all of the acrylic! Such a cute and colorful space!
Where does the 1 year old sleep? Where did you put the cribwhen she was an infant? Full tour please.
love the kid's play area!
Beautiful place. And I love, love the play area! Would love to see a full house tour.
Love everything about this space.
Cool invisible chairs!!!
Loving the clear dining chairs and coffee table!
love this look! super fun! where did you get that rug in the baby corner?
Love it. It looks so beautiful. I just did not know where the baby's room was. Was it the couch?
