Watch out, LG is making some cool and slick design decisions. That being said, it's been a long time coming that manufacturers would come out with transparent parts for your cell phone. Thankfully, the only thing transparent for this phone is its slider keyboard, making it even less obtrusive. We can already imagine the sleuth of cell phones that will follow this trend, all of them with transparent keyboards.
LG's come up with a transparent keyboard for their new GD-900. It's been showcased at the MWC conference and looks pretty good. We don't know much about this phone, but it's look is destined to make us react in some way. The keyboard is also backlit, which must look pretty impressive in the dark! Jokes asides, it must be an interesting phone. Plus, it's completely distinctive and unique, so it will look different in the crowd.
This phone will be available during the second half of 2009 and it's starting to create some buzz. We think that it's a great step forward. The only thing I wonder is if the keyboard is hard to see when you need to look at the keys. If it isn't an issue, then it should be no problem. [via Design You Trust via Geek and Hype]
