Small accessory changes in the home can make a big difference. Switching out light plates to something fun, quirky, or eye catching can be a great, cheap way to add a pop to the casual rooms in the home.

Sprout Side Table
The second one would look right at home in my apartment. The third one would also be handy in a smaller version for the light switch next to my front door...it's got me thinking.
I also did a post on this very subject!

There are so many great options out there and it is such an easy thing to change!
the arcade light switch is way cool! but it's now $45? @$35 i was considering it... but at $45, i cant justify it. too bad they raised their price.
Yay, Cubic Switchplate made my morning!
Wow, that arcade switch is awesome, but WAY over priced! You can get those buttons for $2.00 online and a light switch plate is what, like $1.00? There can't be that much labor going into it. The second one is adorable too!
Really have issues with that arcade switch unless it is just acting as an input to an already UL listed relay, and they have somehow managed to have appropriate segregation of the low voltage wiring in the box. Those buttons are not rated for any line voltage operation for the isolation of the user from it. Probably would be ok but its a liability claim just waiting to happen.
