Hampshire-based Dan Brill architects designed this gorgeous galley kitchen, complete with a solarium-style window that floods the interior with sunlight. Designed to maximize the available space, the kitchen and bath incorporate a few innovative tricks, including a continuous countertop/shelf/bench. Click below for more...
The countertop, shelves, and built-in bench are all part of the same continuous piece of folded timber that moves across the kitchen, emphasizing the horizontal lines of the space.
The bathroom also incorporates a skylight that opens up the ceiling. A mirrored wall and floating fixtures further add to the room's sense of spaciousness.
The kitchen, bath and dining area were all added in the relatively narrow side extension of an existing house. The back of the extension opens into the garden, through sliding glass doors.
A round table on the back patio provides another dining spot in good weather. To see the full kitchen, bath, and floorplan, visit Dan Brill Architects online.
