While we like the function of the AeroGarden, it leaves a little left to be desired in terms of its aesthetics and size. For a smaller apartment, we like this Lightpot by Studio Shulab – it doubles as a light and pot, and it looks great.

The Lightpot features a telescoping LED light - a cool function to keep the pot completely enclosed, which then grows in time with the plant.

It looks like the Lightpot just premiered at the IMM Cologne 2009, so as of this posting we couldn’t find any price info.
