We considered the entire garage our own playhouse growing up, but if buying or building a dedicated playhouse for your kids in on your list for the spring you'll certainly find plenty of inspiration at Lilliput Play Homes. (And apartment dwellers, we can still fantasize, right?)

Lilliput Play Homes is a 20-year-old family-run business based in Pennsylvania. They offer 13 play structures from cottage-style homes to larger, grander ones. And not just houses - they have a fire house, market, castle, movie theater and clubhouse. The structures are sent in 10-20 panels and require only basic handyman skills and tools to put together.

For fear that you'll stop reading we won't tell you the cost (and they vary greatly), but for true DIY'ers you can also purchase plans to build these yourself as well as some parts (windows, shutters, etc.). Regardless, we had great fun browsing Lilliput Play Homes' website and think you will too.
