A Memorial Weekend Without Tech

A Memorial Weekend Without Tech

Instead of trying to undertake big tech/DIY projects this weekend, take a step back and relax. Try and let the current technology you have simplify your life instead of complicate it. You can always save those big problems for next week. Use this long weekend to relax and decompress. In order to do so, make sure to follow these 3 tips for a stress free weekend.

Limit Yourself: Though technology can certainly simplify our lives, it can also cause us much pain and frustration. Instead of packing every gizmo you own, try limiting yourself to the bare essentials. This may include your cell phone, laptop, and even your e-reader. Even if it does include 3 devices, make sure they are all simple to use and stable. There is no need to spend your long weekend troubleshooting and fixing your buggy devices.

Pack Batteries and Chargers: For those tech gadgets that you decide you absolutely need to have, be sure to pack appropriate batteries and chargers. There is nothing more frustrating and stressful then not being able to charge a device that you planned to use. Before leaving for the beach check and double check that you have all the chargers you need packed away. If you don't then it is very likely you will find yourself frustrated when your device dies over the long weekend.

Get Outside: Even though you have your favorite tech with you, that doesn't mean you have to use them 24/7. Instead, limit your tech intake this weekend and get out and enjoy the fresh air. With the sun shinning all up and down the coasts, be sure to find time to go for a walk, ride a bike, or to just lounge outdoors. You will be surprised about how a little tech free time can reinvigorate you.

Have a wonderful and stress-free Memorial Day Weekend!
