Living in the city means we have limited outdoor space, but I was more than happy to sacrifice grass for screens… as in a screen porch. We even rebuilt a second one when we added on a first floor family room.
For years, the screen porch consisted of a table and some chairs and some chili pepper lights. But this year I decided to dress it up with fun and colorful placemats, pillows, benches for seating and storage, and hanging drapes for elegance and ambiance (and privacy).
Now I love my screen porch more than ever.
Readers, see more pictures of Linda's porch on her blog, It All Started With Paint.
Thanks, Linda!

This is lovely!
So welcoming and beautiful! I love the place settings with the numbered napkins.
I can feel the cool breeze coming in while I have a lemonade on that awesome porch.

What an amazing space....love it :)
Wow, beautiful! The drapes are really well done.
You have an amazing space there, a lot of greenery too! :)
How lovely? What time do we show up for cocktails :-)?
Where does everyone sit with all those pillows?
Looks wonderful! Such a cozy and inviting space. I'll bring the strawberries and cream if you'll put on a pot of coffee!
I'm there for a drink anytime!

So comforting. Wish I were there. Takes me back to my childhood when the porch was an oasis on a nice day.
Coveting this porch - well done! Especially love the curtains!

That bench seating looks perfect for Summer reading. Love the screened-in part to keep those pesky mosquito's out!!
A beautiful outdoor space like this in a city is a treasure! I'm headed over for wine now. :)
