We just heard from Lindsay about her great chair makeover: This was an old hand me down chair that I've had for about 6 years. I don't have a before picture, but the seat was stained and long past its due date...

(Note: This fabric is more true to the hot pink, purple with turquoise dots, and cream with green stripes shown in top photo, second fabric sample down.)
...so I went to my local fabric store and replaced the foam with 2 inch foam, then attached the fabric to the wooden seat inside the plastic casing using a staple gun. I used Kokka Echino Ni-Co Scooter fabric (one solid piece).
We also found the Ni-Co Scooter fabric on Etsy in four different color combos ($9.50 for 1/2 yd). Fun stuff.

I'm not sure if this is something I just don't *get* but here goes.. this fabric looks odd to me.. maybe it's just because it's on a chair but to me it just looks weird. And why's the fabric upside down on the seat part? On the back of the chair it looks like you can see where the fabric is stapled under the clear cover of the back of their chair. Looks rather cheaply done overall.
Agreed, d4kk1tt3n. It would also be nice if the submitter had bothered to focus her camera.
The fabric doesn't really suit such a small chair either.
hey lindsay, nice job! don't let these decorating divas bring you down. some folks live to criticize. congratulations!
in defense of the upside-down-ness of the scooters on the seat portion: when you're sitting on the chair, they look right side up! nicely done!
Agree tralala! Ignore the nay sayers. Its a very cute redo!! I just love that fabric.
Everybody's a critic! I think this is a cute chair. Then again, anything would be better than my standard-issue Seat of Corporate Whoredom.
