- What do you love about your bedroom?:
- I love the big windows and angled roof lines. It feels light, airy and spacious, which is extremely relaxing. I also love how feminine it is and that each piece of furniture was either a family heirloom or a great antique find.
- What are your tips for creating a beautiful, healthy and organized bedroom?
- One tip that I have to remind MYSELF to do is to always put clothes and shoes back where they belong. A cluttered bedroom tends to stress me out, so I try to put things away and make the bed every day. Ten minutes very well-spent!
- In modern homes, bedrooms have become more than just a place to sleep; they can be a retreat, a home office, a library, a relaxation zone. What are some ways you make the most of your bedroom?
- I use my small desk all the time to do work and write. I don't have a home office, so it's nice to have a workspace that's not the dining table. Also, I love having enough seating to invite some girlfriends over to hang out in the bedroom. It seems strange to entertain in your room, but it can be fun and reminds us of an old-school sleepover!

Wow! Nice space and very classy. The furniture is gorgeous too.
Stunning! The furniture is exquisite, the colour choice perfect, and the angled lines in the add a gorgeous uniqueness. Love it!
Beautiful furniture and cute doggy!
What's the paint color? It's beautiful.
Love the color, the elephant, and the Franklin poster. Love from a Brentwoodian.
Love the color scheme.
Mahogany looks beautiful against that fresh colour. My blood pressure comes down just looking at the pictures! Beautiful!
This is such a bold choice of wall color! Great match with Mahogany furniture which often feel too heavy and dead. Nice work!
So pretty! I have this color in my living room and it just feels so nice to be surrounded by it.
The approximate noise that I made when I first saw this: "GEEEORARRRRGGGHHHH!" In other words, love love love. The colour, the class, the furniture, everything.
Love love it!! Exactly the desk i am looking for!! can you share the brand pls?
I love this - this is kind of how I like to picture homes in Nashville, so it made me happy I'm not totally delusional about it ;) Colorful with pieces of quaint vintage charm and a pop of creativity with that Franklin poster. Nice!
I like this - maybe think about painting the ceiling the same color to avoid those tricky low transitions that make the space a little choppy. This is a trick I used in both of our attic bedrooms and it makes a world of difference.
For me, one of the signs of good design is when it's totally not my style, but I can still love it. And, I LOVE this. Charming character, but fresh and modern at the same time.
Love your elephant.
Gorgeous paint job. Very pretty and light.
Very nice. How much for the pug?
The lovely aqua walls offset the rich wood hues nicely. You've got some nice vintage pieces and the room is well balanced. Never thought about placing a bed against a large window, but it works well in your setting. Cute pug!
If the slanted low ceiling was painted all the same as the walls the room volume would look huge... Try it! Attic rooms look fantastic when u don't emphasize all the breaks in roof lines and walls and unify the space in one enveloping colour. Otherwise, very pretty room...
I would also love to know the paint color - that aqua is perfection.
The paint color is Behr Spring Stream. Thanks for all of your kind words!

lindsay, I posted this question in the recap post. But was wondering what type of blanket/quilt you have on your bed. I remember my grandparents have some like that and they were so comfortable and heavy, is there a particular name for them, do you have a source?
thanks
Zrossiter, look for "matelassé" and you will find what you want.
