Color Inspiration: I love bright colors and vivid contrast. When I began choosing colors for my home this bright pink was one of the first colors I got really excited about. Also, the color name is "Cheery" which I just love. With the white cabinets and white beadboard wainscoting the color has a great impact without being overly vivid. Also, pink is a really great color for a bathroom; it really brightens your skin and cheers you up.

Colors Used: The pink is Behr 150B-5 Cheery. The color of the tub comes from an underwater photo. I took the photo in to Lowe's and had the color custom mixed.
Color Tip: Just go hunting for the colors you really have a reaction to. I was totally overwhelmed when I realized just how MANY walls there were in my house. I had no idea where to begin. I started with one room and just picked a color. Then I moved from room to room choosing complementary colors that didn't clash when they flowed together. Choose colors that you love and your home will reflect your personality.

That's a really darling room. Wish I could take a bubble bath right now. I'm generally not attracted to bathroom design, but these colors are so engaging! I didn't know Lowe's custom mixed colors. Good to know.
Two questions - did you do the painting with left over paint from the wall and tub? It's really cute. Also - did you hang the beads from the light fixture yourself? That's really cute as well.
I do hope we get to see the rest of your home. Good luck!
Totally fun! Great mix of colors!
Peggy: Thanks for the compliments! I did indeed do the painting with leftovers. I have so much of the aqua paint left that I've been using it all over the place - like on my front door! :-D And, yup, I also did the little "chandelier".
I never thought I'd vote for a pink bathroom but the tub totally won me over. Espcially the story of how you picked the color.
Lovely. But I think the shower curtain is a missed opportunity.
Ok. Now I've gotta paint my claw-foot tub. I wondered what it would look like in blue/teal - You've totally won me over.
This is beautiful. I love that you took a generally cold and non atmospheric room and made it inviting and cosy and colorful. I too am a fiend for bright contrasts and colors. I think this looks lovely. It's almost like a regular room that happens to have a bath tub and toilet in it! :)
what a FUN room!! How's the lighting?? I'd be worried about lighting for getting ready/makeup, but I just love that pink! :)
You had me at the chandelier!!! VERY cute!
I love this bathroom, it has a special place in my heart. :)
I just have to say that the pictures here do not even do the room justice! It's such a great room! Thanks for posting - and good luck!!!!
i love this bathroom!!! and think it should def. win!!!
You put together two of my favorites: the color aqua and clawfoot bathtubs!! Adorable...
Me thinks it was wildly unfair you to be put alongside "Michael's Love Affair with Color"... the vast majority of the rest are inferior to both you and Michael's :|
Awe I love it! The only thing I'm not feeling is the lighting (as in the color of the light, not the actual fixture--love the chandelier btw). Because the colors of the wall are pink, bulbs with a natural, white, or blue tones to it would showcase this perfectly. The soft white/yellow lighting makes the pink look dingy and orangey.
