Using drawer liners or wallpaper on the inside of a cabinet is an inexpensive way to update an old piece of furniture. The lining adds a sense of luxury and creates some unexpected color every time you open a cabinet door. We find that the best motivation for doing a project usually comes from others who have gone before, so we rounded up a few examples of cabinets beautifully outfitted with wallpaper linings...

This cabinet makeover comes from Swedish website Colorama.

A photo from Orla Kiely's catalog shows a cabinet lined with Stem Wallpaper.

Anna from Door Sixteen wallpapered her pantry shelves with Ferm Living's Bindweed.

This cabinet from Homes & Gardens is lined with Laura Ashley wallpaper in White/Dove Grey.

I have wanted to run with this idea for awhile. I was thinking about doing something similar by wallpapering the inside of my closets.
For my china cabinet I found paper that I liked, cut it to size and used double sided tape to apply it for a non-permanent color statement.
how timely! I've been searching everywhere for orla wallpaper remnants. anyone know where i can grab some?
What a great idea. I'm going to try it with my boring kitchen cabinets which I can't afford to replace. Thanks AT Chicago.
I would like to use something like drawer liner for some cabinets that I have but can't find any patterns that I really like. Does anyone have a resource for coll drawer liner/contact paper? I have tried the clear with wrapping paper and I don't like how it turns out.
Sorry Sarahc, I didn't see you there. It's just what I need!
More pics for inspiration please! I have been wanting to do this with my china cabinet for some time.
I like these. I used an old map and it was nice too.
Sometimes some of the ugliest things can be used to make things pretty. I have an old built in shelf which i think was supposed to be a linen cabinet, i took brown shipping paper and cut it to size. It is now a very good look book shelf and stay clean, dust doesn't seem to come near it either which makes it an affordable and clean solution for you cabinetry woes..
I did this to our dining room buffet/hutch. I bought a great, cheap wallpaper from target (featured on AT not too long ago) and used double-sided tape to attach it. It looks awesome but I'm not committed to it in the future.
I have been planning a similar project for a cabinet and purchased some great wall paper from tres tintas...anyone know if wall paper past is the thing to use or would the 3M sprayment work best?
I am leaning toward the sprayment for ease of use but wonder if anyone has any experience with this?
Thanks!
