Grrrr, NYC. I'm lucky to have even one closet in my entire apartment. And that's only because the landlord added it before I moved in.

Idea for a follow-up post: how to buy or build a linen closet. I have my eye on a tall, thin closet-like unit at Ikea. But it would be in my kitchen. :(

I have a linen closet but it becomes a jumbled mess. I really need to work on it- these pics are a great start.

If only mine ever looked so neat! We have a bunch of mismatched towels for guests that we keep in the linen closet which doesn't look great. We also shove comforters in there and they just don't fit very well.

Hummm... i wish my linen closet looked like this...i guess i can make it a 2010 project. The first one seems very functional.

My linen closet is shallow and triangular. Whose idea was that?!? There is room for it to have been built as a regular rectangular closet. You can't fit many sheets or towels on a triangular shelf. Grrr.

I gave up ever trying to fold fitted sheets & now shove them in my linen closet. Oh to be as patient & organized as martha stewart....

my linen closet has become a catch-all for random junk. i would love it to look like the one in the first picture... we just bought this home and i would love to have a place for everything. i should make this my weekend project!

Mine is triangular too. It's so inefficient for storage. Maybe we should learn to fold towels and sheets like they are flags to make them fit better!

Pictures of linen closets make my dizzy with envy. Or is it jealousy? Both?

Yes, the first time I tried to fold my sheets to go in there, I imagined Boy Scouts reverently folding the flag. I have not yet perfected it!

oh my..i wish i could have linen closet like these..mine stores a vacuum cleaner at the bottom, mismatched sheets and towels on the upper racks...some unfolded >.<
