Bright red is a very bold and confident color choice for a space, which is why I love it as an accent color or wall color. Sometimes we can be so afraid of choosing the wrong color or not knowing how to incorporate it into the design that we end up with an overly neutral space. Design is meant to be fun and an extension of your personality. Why not take a big leap of faith and just go for the bold color selection?
Red can be fun, sexy, daring, and exhilarating. If you have some apprehension about going all the way, start slowly by throwing in a few small red decorative accents and build your way up to the wall color. One of my favorite rooms to go heavy on the color red is the bedroom (no explanation needed).

White Enamel Flatwa...
I love using reds! I don't have a ton, my (recently former) roommate doesn't really like red. After 5 years of living with her, I don't have a ton. But I LOVE my red kitchen appliances! I'm thinking about having all red at some point.
The only real color in my living room comes from two dark burgundy Barcelona chairs. I'm not even sure I'd call them "red" because they give the impression of being very neutral. I don't think I'd ever do anything in bright red. I've said this before on AT, but I think red is kind of tricky to get right. The only image I like above is the one of the red dining room chairs. I also think red walls look best with moldings. Otherwise it looks very slapdash to me.
Any given item painted red will either look significantly more expensive or really cheap. I think tomato reds with a warm undertone more often look the latter whereas cool blue-based reds can look very chic. Though like ElectricKatie above, I happen to love red appliances. My dream is to own a giant red Viking stove range.
Can I just say that I don't really get the concept of an accent wall? I have almost never seen it done well.
Delish!
I never thought I'd be a big fan of red, but a few years ago we bought a big modern red sectional, and we STILL love it!
Red: My least favorite color by far. To look and AND wear.
Anyone have a suggestion for a good bright red paint for an accent wall?
The only inspiration I got from the first photo was to workout even harder...
