Today's Favorite Thing comes from Lisa Bono. Her husband Jeff's Favorite Thing will be posted Wednesday.
There's something so beautiful about a story the first time someone tells it. The details that come up that might not seem to matter at first, the time it takes and the way someone forms their experience into words. It's like poetry - the strongest kind, that brings you right back to where they were - at the runway, watching the planes take off - on the brink of adulthood. Many thanks to Lisa for sharing this story, which is not really about an object. It's about home.
