- What I Love About My Small Home:
- After a couple of temporary places, this is the first apartment my boyfriend and I can really call home together. A smaller footprint means we can afford my favorite part of Boston with parking for both of our cars. Even though the rooms are small, we've been told our place is great for hanging out and watching sports or movies, or relaxing over drinks in the kitchen. The second bedroom means my boyfriend's young son gets his own room when he comes over on weekends.
- Biggest Challenge of Living in a Small Space
- As renters, we cannot change ANYTHING! No painting, no holes in the walls, we couldn't even attach a toilet paper holder in the bathroom. Plus we each wanted to incorporate the furniture we already owned. So each room ended up with its own vibe. The bedroom feels cozy and warm and romantic. The bathroom has white marble floors, and I bought bamboo accessories to give a spa-like feel. I added colorful accessories in the hallway and living room to brighten up all the black and grey. And in nice weather there's nowhere I'd rather be than relaxing on the porch with something hot from the grill and a cold beverage.

No pictures of the living room?
I noticed this as well, Elle Urker. Seems like an weird thing to leave off - kept me from voting for it.
The third photo is a peek at the living room?
Would have preferred seeing the living room instead of a corner of the stairs and the doorway leading to it.
Hey folks its Solv. Yeah, that part was a hard decision and I spent forever opting back and forth. I LOVE the bright poster in the hallway so I thought showing the little bit of color with our grey and black furniture gave the effect I was looking for. The living room's a little bit more in progress that the rest of the place, and I've seen a billion entries with mostly closeups so....I gave it a shot. But if I guessed wrong that's good for me to know.
forgot to add that the couch is the original Ciera from Bobs
I really like your kitchen -- it's perfect.
I'm surprised that they're so strict on not hanging some things (like a toilet paper holder) but let you put some art on the walls and curtain rods up. I, too, would have liked a living room shot.
It looks like a really cool space, but I would have liked to see the living room, as some of the others mentioned. I'm not a fan of the blue swag curtains in the bedroom and red Roman shade in the kitchen. A simple, tailored panel would look so much better. I do like the colorful framed poster in the area where we get a glimpse of your living room.
This place would look better if the owner gets rid of all those window treatments.
Why a picture of the toilet???? :(
