Little Brown Pen: Evan & Nichole Robertson Capture Paris

Lots of people have paced the streets of Paris, and some have used the material they found to make masterpieces — Baudelaire, Colette, Edgar Allen Poe. Photographer Nicole Robertson and illustrator Evan Robertson are following (literally) in their footsteps. "The French have a word for what we do," they say. "Flâner. It means to stroll with no destination in mind, simply for the pleasure of it. Our work is a record of the serendipitous discoveries we find by getting lost."

OK, so they don't spend all all their time flâner-ing around. They also work in their studio, package orders, and maintain a website and Etsy shop where they sell their views of Paris in collectible sets.

Evan and Nicole are in the process of phasing out their smaller 5x5 photo collections to make way for 8x10 sets. Through May 1, 5x5 photos are 20 percent off.
