Little 'Bubs' Brisbane Room

My Room

Name: "Baby S/Bubs'
Location: Brisbane, Australia

I wanted a room that we could all feel relaxed and calm in, but also a little bit fun. Being a rental property meant no nice wall colours, decorations or curtains, which is why I decided on the beautiful bold rug. The size of the room also didn't leave much to be desired, which is why I wanted the furniture white, bright and fresh.

My colour inspiration was pastels, and my first purchase were the building blocks in the wooden bowl, and the prints on the wall from Etsy. The rest of it just fell into place from there.

I didn't really stick to a 'theme' as such, I just picked up pieces that I liked or were cheap! As we were on a tight budget, everything in the room was either cheap or on sale, e.g. the cot and change table were 50% off from Babies R Us, and the chair was $69 from Freedom Furniture and has a slight rock to it.

I loved every second of putting this room together and I am very happy with the results. We don't know the gender so once 'bubs' is here it can be easily adapted to suit a little boy or girl. All in all this is definitely our favourite room in the house, and I love sitting in the chair reading a book, waiting for our little bub's arrival. Hope you like the room as much as we do!

Thanks Kellie!
