Little Red's Modern Fairytale Room

My Room

Name: "Tiny" (8 months)
Location: Melbourne, Australia

It started with a book. A classic from my childhood turned inspiration for hers. Plus the desire for colour. Just a hint. Red. And from there, this space was born. A Little Red Riding Hood nursery.

Herein lies the result of yet another labour of love project. I'd best describe the nursery as vintage meets handmade. The vast majority of what you see are the fruits of many a DIY. For me, baby bakin' always sparks a creative fire within me. A need to use the nervous, impatient energy I'm harbouring for good. Some nesters clean. But me? I make. I do. I decorate.

There is just something about kids spaces. I adore them. The prospect of encouraging imagination and weaving magic into their everyday fills me with joy. Giving Tiny a room like this - a one-of-a-kind space of her very own - designed by my heart and executed by my hands is my gift to her. A small token of thanks for her unquestionable and unwavering love.
