My house was a design disaster when I lived with roommates in college. Although mixing seven different aesthetics is certainly a challenge! I love this collection of house tours, very inspiring. I especially like Sarah and Hillary's loft!
My husband and I live with another married couple and their infant son...we lucked out because the space is so large that we're able to decorate our own spaces without worrying about the other couple. We only share the kitchen and dining room, and the front and backyard. Having similar taste definitely helps!
I've recently moved into a large flat with 3 flatemates. Nice, big living room.... is empty. Two built-in bookshelf units with nothing on them! Seemingly I have free rein to design the living room, essentially. I wonder if there's anything people might suggest?
