Orange Skin, local purveyor of all things Italian (or at least European) has embraced a local designer. The Estudio collection by Chicago designer Christopher Hubbard is now being shown at the shop - and the only thing euro about it are the names (Paris sofa and chair, Moda chair and Bello ottoman).

Estudio began in 2002 doing custom upholstery and this is its first original line. The pieces designed by Hubbard are linear and solid-looking, with almost no air space between the furniture and the floor. Done in ultra-suede, they make us think of French art deco meets the '70's...
