According to LoftLife, this former Con-Edison buidling in SoHo is now the home of horror movie director Marcus Nispel and his family. Talk about a lot of space! Be certain to check out the mile-high bookshelves and indoor pool!

White Enamel Flatwa...
Oh that's so gorgeous, it hurts.
Stunning spaces
*sigh* I try not to covet things I don't own (and will never own) but this one is too tempting.
wow
WOW! Absolutely stunning. My dream house will have a similar indoor pool!!!
I'm speechless.
I can't imagine anyone in New York having room for a private pool. Jebus.
ohh I'm hatin'.
Life isn't fair.
what a fantastic space.
how do you get those books down?
i guess this is what you get when you direct texas chainsaw massacre (the remake, not the original) & one of the many, many sequels of friday the 13th!
Why, with all that space, would they push all of the living room furniture up against the wall? Is Mr. Nispel practicing for a turn on "Dancing With the Stars?"
Eye candy indeed. Wow that was really nice. I even like their furniture choices. The kitchen is a bit dark but I could live with that!
my home seems like an epic failure compared to this person's apartment
I like the spare furnishings and restrained palette. But the sheer size and indoor pool are excessive to me, especially during these economic hard times.
yeah,, must be nice.
i dont think i've ever seen an indoor pool in a nyc apt... drooling...
This is just not fair. We should all get to live like this.
That shot with the bookcase is very possibly my own heaven. Deliver me to Soho!
"But the sheer size and indoor pool are excessive to me, especially during these economic hard times."
What was the dude supposed to do, pack up his family and get a smaller place when the market crashed? Wouldn't that pretty much be worst-case scenario for New York, if all the rich people decided that spending money was a bad thing and just moved to small houses in the burbs. Manhattan would turn into a ghost town.
The only thing I like is the indoor pool. How the hell do you get the books down? Why have such a high bookshelf? Silly.
love it, especially the pool....
Wow. Some of the nicest exposed brick I've ever seen too.
Life REALLY is not fair. Why must you taunt us AT?!
The bookshelves make me eternally happy just by looking at them. This is amazing.
So even though the guy is a gazillionaire, he should not have an indoor pool because other people are out of work? There's something faulty (or mean-spirited) in that thinking.
Yum. I am a film director and this is inspiring me (-: ! Don't hate on him for owning this lovely place, he worked his ass off in a high risk field to get it.
I want.
I want it so much it makes my stomach hurt.
I think I have a cavity just looking at it..
well theres a sliding ladder against the bookshelf. its just hard to see.
LOVE this space!
maybe im wrong, (Did a double take)
Clearly, I am in the wrong line of work.
Loft space rocks, I love the use of the entire wall with books, I'm planning a project for an entire wall with the sliding ladder against the wall. I have seen the shelves done is great colors like yellow to give that pop of color and also in very vintage-esque style.
anyone know what paper lamp that is?
