One of my favorite tech toys growing up was my solar powered Casio calculator. Remember writing somewhat cryptic upside alphanumeric messages to classmates? Well, even if you're too young to remember antiquated "mobile" tech like solar calculators, you may appreciate this distant cousin, the Logitech Wireless Solar Keyboard K760, designed to work wirelessly with your computer, over to your tablet, and even with your smartphone...
Similar in size to Apple's compact wireless keyboard, Logitech's Wireless Solar Keyboard K760 adds just a little more height to accomodate for an array of solar panels much like my beloved memory of jr. high calculation devices. This is great for anyone who would like to forgo the continual battery replacement schedule inherent with wireless battery powered peripherals.
And unlike some of Logitech's accessories, the Bluetooth enabled Wireless Solar Keyboard K760 was designed specifically to work with OS X and iOS devices (being Bluetooth, it should work fine with Windows machines and Android devices too): Command, Brightness, Volume and Eject keys are included matching Apple's usual graphic design language.
Logitech advertises the K760 can charge using lamp light or natural light, and once fully charged, the keyboard won't need to bask in any light for another 3 months. Impressive!
Currently available for preorder for $79.99.

I have the PC version of this keyboard and I love it! It sits in a room with one window and one table lamp, which gives it enough light to charge. I make sure to use the on/off button when I'm not sitting at the computer. With that, my battery has never dipped below 98 percent.
It's pathetic how Logitech felt the need to remove the Apple logo on that iMac while using it and two other popular Apple products to promote one of their products that obviously copies a lot from Apple.
JDOEY, likely they didn't get Apple's permission to use the image/didn't want to pay to use image.
I'm happy to see solar inching it's way into the computing and smart phone markets at non-coma-inducing price points.
Where's the number keypad? Some of us use keyboards for business, too.
I'd rather buy the Apple Wireless Keyboard and have the real thing instead of a shameless knock off like this with a pointless gimmick.
