We first came upon Loll Designs while walking
to a new neighborhood restaurant. There, in anticipation of the numerous Sunday morning brunchers, sat a sleek black armless bench
that beckoned. We adore the almost severe look of the armless bench with the high slanted adjustable back.
Loll creates outdoor furniture that not only is both modern in form, but in concept as well. We thought the modernized Adirondack-inspired seat was made of stained wood. Wrong.
All Loll furniture is super green, made from 100% recycled post consumer high density polyethylene (HDPE), a plastic resin used in products and packaging such as milk jugs, detergent bottles, margarine tubs, and garbage containers. On top of that, 90% of the waste from Loll’s manufacturing process is sent back to the recycling plant, and all Loll furniture is also 100% recyclable. Check out all of Loll's eco-initiatives. Impressive.
So we were hooked and ready to place our order. But what about the little one? As it turns out, a mini-version of the Adirondack chair is available too! That's it in the second pic. No need to compromise on design for the little one.
On a side note, we contacted Nate of Loll Designs - he told us that the company is in the process of altering the kids' seating from a 4-slat back to a 2-slat back. The pic above is the prototype. The revised design will be less expensive and will replace the 4-slat soon so if you want the 4-slat, order now.
