I'm guessing the developers are not interested in marketing this place towards families, considering those stairs. It's a beautiful space, IMO, but I'm sick of the modern spaces with stairs with no rails.
i love lc4 chairs! :)
What a great space. The stairs aren't scary at all as they have both a wall and a rail.
chispace, what a coincidence, I'm sick of stair nazis whining about the lack of rails. I'm also sick of the entire planet being childproofed and made family friendly. Your life may revolve around your children, but my life does not revolve around your children.
just let the children sleep downstairs
There's a rail along the wall. It's clearly visible in the photograph. What's the problem?
I'm getting a huge kick out of the IKEA barstools in their spendy loft, though. Poor little old me has the same ones.
Does anyone know the brand of dining table? Its the ash/maple blond colored one - see the link.
nrKist....thank you. I doubt the "developers" of this space give a sh#t about whether your kids can, or they would even want them to, live here.
Anarchists vs. Nazis. It's on like Donkey Kong.
Ah, this amazing place was shortlisted for this year's RIBA Stirling Prize but sadly did not bag it! Still, it's a great achievement to be one of the top six, surely! Oh yes, and those 'children' are more like young adults!!!
