They're the railroad that ran the famed SuperChief from Los Angeles to Chicago - and is the subject of the famous song written by Johnny Mercer.
Now I have that song going through my head... :)
It's got power, does someone live in it? That would be sorta sweet.
I second that leslie.
and one of my favorite books when I was growing up was the boxcar children--the first one where a lot of the book is about the four children fixing up the boxcar and turning it into their home.
The library system where I used to work had a caboose at a branch that was a former train depot, and it was used for storytimes and housed a train book collection.
Anybody remember how Lyle Lovett lived in a caboose in Cookie's Fortune?
Funny how you grow up knowing only certain train lines. I have never seen ATSF before, but, having grown up in Seattle, I definitely would have known BNSF: Burlington-Northern-Sante-Fe.
Now we need to find ATC, ATNY, and ATLA I suppose?

Don't forget the Topeka.
