We love working with clay at home, but often the clean-up makes us a bit apprehensive to want to take out the clay next time. We saw this simple clay containment solution at our son's school and thought, "Brilliant!" We took the idea home.
A simple cafeteria tray keeps the clay in place, allows your child to easily transport clay from one table or room to the next and they aren't an eyesore.
We love the trays for sale at Montessori Services, $3.50 each. Available in an array of colors (eight to be exact) one is certain to fit your room's decor.

I have a huge stack of these trays for my job. They last forever and are really nice. Can handle a ton of weight. I was stuck with the colors I got. Purchaced them from a Restraunt supply store.
We use these for all kinds of projects, especially ones that involve glue and paint.
I just ordered 4....thanks for the great idea!
We use cookie sheets or jelly roll pans at our house.
Great idea - I just ordered some as well!
