If you're in San Francisco and you find yourself in the mood for some fantastic '70s decor, pretty decent Ethiopian food, and a full bar, Club Waziema might be the spot for you. One of our favorite elements of the establishment is its flocked wallpaper (two types are found throughout the dark and cozy dive). But this past weekend, we found ourselves enamored with another element -- the women's bathroom!

Check out the smoky frosted mirrors, metallic floral wallpaper, sparkly marbleized vanity, and pendant lamps. Modern it is not, but we love a little splash of '70s glam, from time to time.

Oh
My
God
It's so incredibly tasteless and over the top - I love it.
ummm... if you want to see an over-the-top-retro-but-not-on-purpose bathroom just go to my grandpa's house. but his is more 80s than 70s.
its straight out of scarface. scary stuff. the whole house is scarface-esque. i think my grandpa thinks he's al pacino or a member of the gotti family. he's not though. i promise.
(although he does love his velour suits and gold chain necklaces with large medallions. oh... and shoe's with lifts)
i know, i've said too much...
YES!
we have definitely had photo shoots on girly nites out in there... sort of smells great too, for a public loo....
I'm drooling. Gotta love it.
Tacky transcends the decades.
So hideous it's fantastic!
I like the faceted lamp.
best ethiopian in SF, in my opinion.
Oh man, sorry, this place is right down the street from us and the food SUCKS. The people are really nice and we wanted it to be good really badly because we are Ethiopian food addicts... but it isn't. If you want good Ethiopian go to Merkato in LA... but even Axum is better than Waziema. Sigh.
The bathroom IS kind of amazing though...
