We're nearing the finals of our 2010 Design Showcase, and the pace is quickening with record traffic over the weekend (see graph below). This is super important, since what we're offering to these young designers is good exposure, and they're getting it — and more.
At this point, ALL of the entries have been posted, and the top six vote getters will go on to the finals next week. Right now, the Cat Hammock is in the lead with Bottles of Hope running a close second and Skyscape Quilts gaining momentum, but we've got 8 new entries that could still pull ahead at the last minute — check them out.

All the info is here including the leaderboard. You can vote for as many designs as you like (each entry gets four days), but only once for each. The six finalists will be those with the most stars by September 21. Stars are weighted (three stars count for the most, one star for the least) in our final tallies. Enjoy!

Great entries. To me, the standouts are the Rotator Rod by Colleen O'Connell, for it's innovation and practicality, and the Chad Bed by BOA, which is a gorgeous combination of usefulness and amazing design.
After MANY fake AT profiles were made by someone affiliated with the shower rod design to comment on the post, I'm a little concerned about that one. Plus, the design wasn't even a new invention at all - these have been made for years and years.
Or rather, real profiles, but... you know what I mean. :P
So the lovely wall clock has dropped down in the listings?
I've seen a similar rod used in hotels...not really all that innovative. But I looovvvveee the FACade wallcoverings and Chad bed!!
I don't understand how the "rotator rod" (or rip-off of the one already for sale) qualifies...
I thought the point of the rotator rod was that, unlike the typical concave-only shower rods, this would rotate and lock into either a concave or convex position. I haven't seen that feature before, so I dig it (I'm a hep cat that way, daddy-o).
Then again, perhaps I'm just not up on the latest bathroom gizmos. Could be that you all have this already, along with mirrors that etch today's news in the fog and scales that knock off pounds depending on your mood.
It's the future, I tells ya!
It's interesting that so many people are picking on the rotator. It's such a simple idea that most people are recognizing it's genius. The curved rods you've seen before don't rotate. I'm also surprised that no one is asking the same question of the wood pendant lamp. Who hasn't seen this idea before?
