The CRAFT blog recently posted this project by Craftster member Sharon.S, and we thought it was a great way to make use of a couple of old chairs with elegant backs. Judging from the before pictures we may have thought their sitting days were over, but clearly there's more imagination in the world than that.

The back of the bench is made from a salvaged headboard, and Sharon.S built the seat from scratch (she's an artist and does this kind of thing on the regular, apparently. Jealous).
Check out her original posthere.

White Enamel Flatwa...
wow - Sharon.S - awesome result!
.. and do we dare ask the final price on the wee white tag hanging there?!
Congrats - beautiful results.
That is extremely clever and it looks great.
Love that. I have a bench that is made out of a twin headboard and then the footboard is cut in half to make the arms.
So awesome.
Wow!! This is really getting around the net!
It took me approx 3 1/2 hours to build this. It is all from curbside salvage.
I am a starving artist in Mi, hence the price of $169.
I put it in the show window and it sold within hours! Yea!!
Wow, Sharon.S Great job.
Can you post a collection of things that you've done?
now that is awesome. very clever, and the final product kicks butt.
