The first thing we noticed about Heather Parlato's bird feeder was its clever design, which takes advantage of the space around a balcony post. When we found out it was a DIY project using scrap wood, we loved it even more.
According to Heather, the inspiration came from an art museum installation and the materials from her late grandparents' home, where her grandfather had a collection of scrap wood. What a wonderful way to remember her grandparents and provide a place for local birds to eat!
