I hate to be such an Ikea shill (I don't work there, I swear) but they also have a couple very small-space sinks that are cool, kind of drinking fountain-sized.

That asymmetrical sink is just what we've been looking for! Too bad it's all the way across the pond.

I second sgnt's observation, but I'd like to add some New York bathrooms are pretty dinky too.

I've seen that sink in a few NY bathrooms.

sgnt13 is right -- I've seen plenty of smaller sinks in Belgium and elsewhere in Europe. Most of them have only cold water, not hot. If you don't like washing your hands in ice-cold water, you're screwed. Or, you wait to wash your hands until you can get to a bigger sink that does also have hot water.

More interestingly, I've seen sinks that are integrated into the top of the toilet -- you wash your hands in the water before it goes down the drain and into the tank, to be flushed down the bowl. You have to admit, it's an interesting combination of uses, and the water from that faucet is probably as clean (and cold) as the water would be from a faucet across the room.

I have that sink in my 1/2 bath! I have a different faucet, though. I love it. It's the cutest little mini-sink. (I can't take the credit, though. It came with the place.)

I live in Belgium and we have a small sink much like the first one shown in our toilet room.

I live in France too, and these sinks are pretty common fixtures in the W.C. (water closet or toilet room). They are called lave mains, meaning "hand washer". It is true that they usually only have cold water. Companies like Decotec and Jacob Delafon have extensive ranges.

I really like the corner sink. That would make a lot of sense in a tiny bathroom.

I just realized someone posted a similar one so I will clarify. This one is an "Edgewater wall hung sink". They have it in white too. And it's $129 in some sites and $119 in others. This one has an overflow hole.
