As a child all we ever wanted for our bedroom was a set of bunk-beds, but alas, our parents refused to buy them as they deemed them unsafe. How we longed for them and all their laddery fun! That memory was long forgotten until today when we stumbled across these awesome bunk-beds in impressive bedrooms by Ara Design Studio. See all 3 bedrooms below the jump…

We really like how industrial yet inviting the 2 above rooms feel– exposed concrete floors and walls, chunky wooden ladders with oversized handrails and big casters on the bottom bed. Below, the classiest butterfly wallpaper we’ve ever seen and that gorgeous antique bed make us torn between which room we like best. The super cool bunk-beds win on this occasion. I love the biological prints in the bedroom. I thought they might be Haeckel but do not think so. Can anyone source them?
i LOVE the map as wallpaper look. i'm trying to brainstorm a way to recreate this for myself on the cheap. not too much happening on ebay... any ideas?
i'm looking to find a ladder just like that, with handrails. does anyone have any information on this, or something similar, to use with a loft?
hla, you could download a high quality map from the internets (google image search for "large size") and either bring it to kinkos to print (their website is sucking right now so I can't get a price estimate) or rasterbate it for a super cheap DIY.
Those must be really high ceilings to allow for that much room between lofts.....or is the low bottom bunk allowing for so much space? Really great design.
