There's a small corner nook in our sun room, which had been stumping us for some time as to how we should use it. For a while, it was dead space holding a school desk we scored in a garage sale. Then it occurred to us -- why not make it a cozy art space that is perfect for our son. A little semi-private spot to call his own.
In the nook, a small desk, two chairs and all of his art supplies fit perfectly. We added a couple trays to hold his notebooks and paper scraps, a tiny shelf for storage, a small bucket for his pencils and paint brushes and he was all set.

We love the way the space is now being utilized and appreciated. Everything in its place, a place for everything and all that jazz.

Hey, cat butt!
love that there is inspirational art on the wall for him as well!
The fattest cat butt ever, believe you me!
Haha.. I was going to comment on the cat butt as well!
Thanks, BBT!
What a beautiful, happy place!
I love this space! How wonderful for your son to have his own space to create in the main living area.
We set up a similar station in our family room, close to the kitchen. Clean up is easy this way!
That's great! I'm very much in favor of having art supplies available for kids to wander over to whenever they feel inspired -- provides great balance in our world of scheduled playdates and adult-initiated activities!
I must know where the chairs are from. Oh, and cat tush!
