Just a month ago, Carrie and her boyfriend asked for your advice, and you gave it to them: Good Questions: Cold Feet - What Color for the Dining Room?. With over 20 suggestions, they proceeded to paint their dining nook and VOILA! what a beautiful job they've done. Check out the before pic below and the sweet note from Carrie...

Hello AT, About a month ago I wrote to you for advice on painting my dining room, which was published in this post.
We've been hard at work since then, and since I always love before & after pictures, I thought I'd send you an after of the dining room.
Thanks for all the advice, Carrie

Wow! What a difference! Very very nice.
Carrie - well done. It looks lovely and if I were your friend, would feel very special if I were to eat dinner in that dinning room. I like that you have used texture as well, the chairs contrast and compliment at the same time the table. Its texture vs smoothness, light vs dark, all in a colorful setting. It comes quite well together.
beautiful beautiful space! not only is the color choice totally phenom, but the table and chairs are drop dead :) the photos look great against the orange, too. total A :)
The framed photos go amazingly well with the color, too. Nice!
Wow, you guys work fast! The trasnformation is amazing and your new dining room is stunning.
so which shade was it??
(looks awesome -- vibrant and fun -- a great choice)
Nice!
Wow. Looks great! I remember the original post, can't remember if I commented - but I had been voting for orange! Love it!
great! What is the light fixture above the table?
Ditto on the light fixture! I would love to know where you got it.
And the black cupboard looks so good now. I would have thought it had to go - but it (all) looks perfect.
Hey all,
Thanks so much for all the wonderful feedback! We're so happy with how it's turned out, and all of your original comments really helped push us in our original Orange direction! The paint color is Benjamin Moore's "festive orange" in a pearl finish. The picture is fairly true to color, though it's closer to the color on the wall with the pictures than it is to the back wall- a nice deep orange. Clickchick & ChicagoNicole, you asked about the light fixture, it's actually an Ikea hack of sorts! First we took down that hideous and horrible fixture that was already there- ugh! Then we installed this ceiling pendant from Ikea: http://www.ikea.com/us/en/catalog/products/90089408
but didn't attach the glass shade. Last we attached the 30" round paper lantern we'd gotten from World Market! Super easy and super cheap, but I think it really looks great. It gives the room a beautiful glow, especially in the evening.
Again, thanks so much for the comments!!
