Sorry, but we've just got to brag a little bit. Actually, we're going to brag so much that we're busting out the first person....singular.

My fantastic, wonderful, ambitious mother wanted to knit me a blanket. Knowing how picky I am about, oh...everything, she asked me for a little bit of design-help and made me pick out the colors. I suggested a colorblock kind of layout and then she worked out the details. And now...looky looky what my beginning-knitter momma whipped out in just a few short months! Best blanket (and mom) ever? We think so!

Very cool! Good job, Mom!
(Wanna adopt me?)
super cool - I want one.
nice blanket, and HORRAY for first person singular!!! Lol...you know that is my only nitpick of this wonderful site, don't you...
So cute. I really need to find a mom to adopt me.
1. That is so gorgeous, I'm going to send it to my knitting sister as a totally unsubtle hint.
2. The first person singular is a sweet sweet breath of fresh air. I just love logical sentence structures.
Yay, mom!!! Great blog, Shayna... thanks so much for sharing!
Thank you for all your positive comments...I've been a bit nervous!!!
Hooray for first-person singular!
Oh, and hooray for your blanket! :)
Excellent! A bit Mondrian-ish and very hip.
Hey, where's my blanket, sis?! I knew she always liked you better.
Oh wait - you're not my sister... Sorry I was confused 'cause MY Mom is the best ever. She even has the mug to prove it.
PS. The blankie is adorable.
Sooo cute. I am knitting squares at the end of all my knitting projects with my left over yarn, so that one day I can make my own color block blanket!
I think I have to make one! It's great.
Awesome mom! And the blanket is just as awesome!
I have mom envy.
Ooohhh I want one.
This is the sweetest thing I've read all day. Hooray for knitting, and for moms, and for familial love.
THANK GOD FOR FIRST PERSON SINGULAR!
i really don't understand why AT tries to make us think that all their editors live together in one big happy, organized, modern loft.
maybe they should just try it for a week?
please?
pretty pretty please?
with sugar and a cherry on top?
thanks everyone! my mom is over the moon with all of the nice comments about her/my blanket!
