i've repurposed numerous things as lamps. i say with complete honesty that there isn't a single actual "lamp" in my house, not counting light fixtures attached to the ceiling. everything else is lighting i made from something else. it's stupid easy, two wires.
and i have a 40 year old blender i'm saving for this very purpose; i haven't made it into a lamp yet because i still blend with it. :)
