Over at Design Sponge is a great tour featuring Caroline Lubbers' Chicago condo (rehabbed 10 years ago in a 1915 building). A few of our favorite things include:

• the chalkboard painted kitchen door used for adult shopping lists and kids' doodles


• the bar with pinhole camera image above (shot of the El tracks)


• pair of hers and hers dressing tables (for mother and daughter)


• large built-ins for dining and servingware (and the silver plates displayed on top)
