So we know you enlightened souls out there would urge us to dispense with CDs and the attendant clutter, but some of us just can't let go, even if our collection is duplicated in iTunes. For the latter group, Svanna of Carpe+Item shows us how she keeps her CDs useful.
She's topped the stack with a tray from IKEA, turning it into a remote control — or drink, or snack plate — holder. Of course, this idea doesn't allow easy access to those CDs, but we weren't listening to them anyway.

Then someone bumps into your 'drink/snack plate' and you have a huge mess. Also I can see some of the CDs aren't lined up already that would make me crazy lol.
I'm sorry but I don't like this. It just seems messy
And then your iPod's planned obsolescence kicks in and you can start all over. Keep the CDs in a folder, and glue the jewel boxes together or better yet, get a real table. This isn't remotely useful.
Dorm furniture, circa 1997.
I LOVE this idea. I don't mind looking at my Stuff ;0)
CDs are not furniture. Recycle the cases and put the CDs in a neat fabric zip up folder out of the way.
