Wall-mounted changing stations are popular for small spaces for the obvious reason that they have no footprint and fold flush to the wall when not in use. Another virtue is their potential for reuse. One mom "hacked" hers to use for storage when she no longer needed it for diaper changing - smart!

Hers is the Gulliver changer from Ikea (not on their website). The original idea was to use it as a drawing area, but instead she removed the bottom piece (using the foam padding as a bench cushion) and used the storage compartments of the changer to store crayons and other art supplies.

We spotted this at, where else, Ikea Hacker where we love to see the creative uses, reuses and alterations of Ikea products. Read more about this hack and see others (like using Ikea ice cube trays to make new crayons from crayon bits and pieces).
