The China Inn was one of our stops during our holiday in Thailand. Heavily influenced by the Chinese who settled in this part of Thailand, the design and decor of the Sino-Colonial urban multi-story rowhouses of Phuket Town (like the one that houses China Inn) is really lovely.
We couldn't get enough of the colors, faded tile work and how new things are discovered unexpectedly (like an interior space suddenly open to the sky!) in room after room, leading from the front entrance to the back garden, railroad style. Enjoy this peek inside...
A little history: the China Inn building once housed the business of a tin miner and financial agent, Tan Ma Siang. Called Hap Long Huat, it was a foreign money exchange.
The China Inn is located at 20 Thalang Road in Phuket. 66.76/356.239
