In honor of Pet Month, we submit this animal mural snapped last week (through the pink security bars) while visiting some friends in their new digs on Pacific and Taylor in Chinatown. Usually when you utter the words "mural" and "San Francisco" in the same breath people think of the Mission. But painted walls abound all over this city. This fanciful one covers the entire street-facing facade of a residential building and includes a dragon as well as a tiger, birds, a snake, and a ram. There's got to be an interesting story behind it. Anyone know?
