Let's be honest here... sometimes the frame is prettier than the art. With that in mind, why not show off the frame? Why does it have to be secondary? Well, it doesn't. And this photo is a great example of that. A beautiful color on the wall, the abnormal sizes, the different colors... it's fantastic!

i love this idea for the hallway of my apartment! can't paint and can't afford enough artwork to fill it...
That is the bench of my dreams! Anyone know where to find it?
Oh charming!
and now for a long shot...
several months back there was a post that included a few photos (or maybe only 1?) of a room that was done in the above color theme (cool, muted blue-ish green with golden/chartreuse yellows)
I've been trying desperately to find it..any thoughts of where that might be?
twoheadedboy - i cannot help you there, but just had to say i LOVE your AT name. hooray, NMH!
I display on a dresser a single empty frame, which I nabbed from a thrift store. I intend to eventually paint something to go into it, but I like the display as it is. I often rotate plants in front of it so that it sort of frames them. These are bad pictures but you get the idea.
