Who says furniture has to be all about function? Every once in a while it's nice to throw practicality to the wind and indulge in some sheer creative inspiration...
The "Paint or Die But Love Me" table, shown above the jump, is one of many conceptual designs from French artist John Nouanesing.

As we saw yesterday in Aaron's Small-Space Sofa post, the image above comes from a contemporary art exhibit at Parcours Saint-Germain.

We're not sure who to attribute this little bookshelf to but we discovered it over at Do Something Pretty. We love to see artists and designers letting loose and stirring the pot of convention in the world of furniture!

It looks very unusual, but in the right room I think that table would be pretty neat.
I love the red table! That would look so cool in the right space!
The red table is awesome!
All of these pieces are inspiring and wonderful! I especially like the bookshelves.
LOVE the table!! wow!
just snapped out of my trance - stared at that table for about a minute I think. Love it.
I like that bookcase alot.
The red table though...I'd feel like I was in an episode of Dexter. Not inspiring of serenity, me thinks.
Love the red table! Love it because it's different! Cool!
oh that table is awesome!
I am in love with the red table too. I think it would work so well in an artist's studio as a work table (if it's sturdy enough that is!) :)
It's all so wonderful and refreshing! LOVE. :)
that red table is so cool!
Love the illusion as if it's floating
Conceptual? More like sculptural and functional!
I would do anything, I mean ANYTHING, to have that red table!
Stunning table. Can't wait to see it in production.
OMG! The table is designed by a genius!
That table is my new best friend :)
I've seen the table around the internet a few times and I just can't help myself. I'd have nowhere to put it and it wouldn't match anything I own, but I WANT IT! ^_^
I would also love to play around with that bookcase.
And if I had kids I'd put that sofa in their room. Because I think kids would be so in love with that.
