Who in their right mind would spend that much on a block of cork?

Eric D M: Genius! I just happened to have one of those gaiam blocks laying around, very much not being used for yoga, and this is a perfect little step stool for the kids bath.
Perhaps not quite as sleek as the Conran option, but free for me!
The Conran Shop option is very heavy - helping to keep the step stable. Is the yoga block heavy enough?
the yoga block is 2.2 pounds. how much does the conran shop block weigh? i saw dimensions, but not weight.
i was surprised how heavy it was...probably 8-12 pounds
